I created a Google Classroom for an activity that introduces teachers to VR technology. It is designed for a blended learning professional development environment which would entail two face to face meetings in addition to asynchronous digital assignments.
To enroll;

Using VR in the classroom is a great way to ENGAGE your students! It can be used to capture their interest and spark curiosity before starting a unit, or a great supplement to the already incredible lesson you are teaching. There are a million and one ways to use it in class, and I wont presume to speak to all of them; rather I want to provide a simple (a very scalable) way to utilize this technology to enhance your pedagogy.
At my school we are very fortunate to have 1:1 MacBook pros AND a class set of VR headsets with phones so it is simple to implement. However, you may not have access to the devices mentioned. Using Nearpod and 360 Cities, you can create VR Field Trips in your classroom TODAY!

Google Expeditions
Teachers can be the tour guide to places the world over using Google Expeditions. The teacher utilizes which controls the scenes that student see in their viewers. The teacher tablet provides you with points of interests and a script that showcases important facts. Go here to find out more!
With Nearpod
Simply create a new Nearpod presentation and click "Add Slide" > "Field Trip - Nearpod VR" > search and find the scene you want to use. When you are done, share it with your class and present!
Without Nearpod
If you do not have a Nearpod subscription you can still take your class on V R Field Trip using 360cities.net by simply searching the scenes you want to use and copy/paste wherever you share assignments with your students. This promises an immersive journey that your students will LOVE.
This is just a brief intro, I hope to add more material soon. If you try it out, please send me feedback or any questions you may have. Have a great trip!
